Steven has 25 years in IT and technology leadership, including more than a decade in CIO and executive technology leadership. His responsibilities have crossed security, procurement, compliance, reliability, integrations, change management, and ROI.
That breadth matters because a technology choice rarely succeeds on features alone. It has to fit the work, earn adoption, respect data and decision boundaries, remain supportable, and produce evidence strong enough to guide the next decision.
How that experience shapes Veld
Veld starts with the workflow rather than a preferred tool. The work separates observed facts from assumptions, compares simple process changes with automation and AI, keeps consequential judgment with people, and defines a safe way to learn before expanding.
Steven is now hands-on building and operating Veld products and agent-supported systems. Product work and consulting are distinct, but both reinforce the same discipline: understand the real need, choose the smallest useful change, and be direct about what is and is not proven.
